Buck: recruitment, roleplay requests and food
Learn Bounce in Oxbury, then climb Hikarishima Lighthouse at (-137, -14) to recruit Buck. He stays aboard, has no Everdoor departure and gives no Spirit Flower.
Reach Buck
Buck waits at the top of Hikarishima Lighthouse (-137, -14). Obtain Rock Destroyer, visit Oxbury (233, 18) and spend two Obols at the shrine for Bounce, then return to climb/bounce up the lighthouse. Talk to Buck to invite him aboard. Build his Lair of Wonders using the blueprint purchased at Edgeborough Lane (192, -105).
Roleplay progression
For The Silver Company, speak to Jerome in Hummingberg, Bryan in Bottom Line Corp. and Bob in Oxbury. Prepare the requested Popcorn, Corndog and Toffee and continue the party/Nordweiler roleplay. Visit the Oracle Tree in Furogawa and follow Demons of Light to Hidden Shrine (-185, -92), bringing two Obols for Light Burst.
The Fires of Tondor uses Light Burst at the requested fire locations, including Nordsee Pier, Sandwich Walk and Hikarishima. Buck’s tabletop Shadow Steel Orcs event then supplies XP Potions from corrupted purple targets. Repeat it through the tabletop in his Lair. Later Looter’s Literary Review letters point to optional archive-room treasures; they are a later task set, not a condition for an Everdoor crossing.
Food, home and departure
Buck’s favourite is Tomato Pizza: Tomato + Wheat Flour. He likes Comfort and Old-Fashioned food, but dislikes Dairy and Fruit. Do not add cheese to the favourite recipe. His home is the Lair of Wonders.
Buck remains on the boat and cannot be taken to the Everdoor. He does not leave a Spirit Flower. His continuing requests and repeat event serve late-game play; waiting for an eventual departure prompt or counting him toward flower spending will stall your plan.
