Early boat loop

Start with Gwen at Alt Harbor, then visit Albert’s Shipyard (61, 64) for the free Beginner blueprint station. Clear the boat and build the Guest House, Kitchen and planting facilities as Gwen requests them. Gather Maple Logs and Limestone, catch fish, plant seeds and cook simple meals. Talk to passengers when their request markers appear; their requests introduce buildings, materials and events rather than advancing through farming alone.

Sail to Hummingberg (39, 139) for early seeds. Recruit Atul at Barkensheim Creek (5, 117), complete his first fishing interaction and combine his Obol with Gwen’s. Spend the two Obols at Hummingberg’s shrine to unlock Double Jump, then use the new movement to reach Summer. Progress Gwen’s Loom requests and Summer’s plant lesson while exploring reachable islands.

Separate the two gates

Obols buy abilities at shrines; Spirit Flowers buy certain ship improvements after a spirit’s departure. They are different currencies. Icebreaker opens ice, Rock Destroyer opens rock and Mist Cleaner 1000 opens fog. A building that is absent from the boat’s blueprint menu may require a higher station tier from Albert: Hobbyist adds Sawmill/Loom/Foundry, Craftsman adds Orchard/Windmill, Expert adds Crusher and Master adds Smithy/Cellar.

When blocked, inspect the Captain’s Log, talk to the relevant passenger and check both the material recipe and the required station tier. Revisit islands after gaining movement abilities. Keep departed spirits’ houses: their doors can trigger associated events such as Gwen’s Jellyfish event.

Pacing and success checks

You do not need to finish the normal early boat loop within a day. Hungry passengers lose mood but suffer no lasting consequences; feeding them restores it. At night, sleeping skips to morning.

Local timers still matter: remove completed cooking before it burns. Successful early progression means Double Jump is learned, Summer is aboard, the Loom is available and Gwen’s requests continue.
